Dhaka, Aug 21 (V7N) - Japanese Ambassador Iwama Kiminori met with interim government Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus on Wednesday at the state guesthouse Jamuna to discuss issues of mutual interest.

Among those present at the meeting were Adviser Ali Imam Majumder, Principal Coordinator for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Lamiya Morshed, and Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam.

Japan has expressed strong hopes that Bangladesh will continue its path towards stable development through a peaceful and democratic political transition. Under the "Strategic Partnership" established between the two countries, Japan has pledged to continue supporting Bangladesh's development and prosperity, standing alongside the transition process led by Chief Adviser Dr. Yunus of the interim government.
