Dhaka, August 28 — Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan congratulated Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Advisor of Bangladesh's interim government, during a phone call on Tuesday. In the conversation, President Erdoğan also pledged humanitarian assistance to support the flood victims in Bangladesh.

In response, Dr. Yunus thanked President Erdoğan for his support and highlighted the potential for expanding trade relations between the two nations. He mentioned that Turkey's investment in key sectors of Bangladesh, including production, would be highly valuable.

President Erdoğan further stated that he would soon send a high-powered delegation to Bangladesh to explore areas of cooperation and provide assistance. During their discussion, President Erdoğan invited Dr. Yunus to visit Turkey, an invitation that Dr. Yunus gladly accepted, stating he would visit at a convenient time. Similarly, when Dr. Yunus invited President Erdoğan to visit Bangladesh, the Turkish leader accepted the offer.
