Dhaka, Sep 02 (V7N) - Helen LaFave, Charge d'Affaires at the U.S. Embassy, held a meeting with Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus on Monday at the state guesthouse Jamuna. The discussion focused on various mutual interests between the U.S. and Bangladesh.
The meeting was also attended by Lamiya Morshed, Principal Coordinator on SDGs affairs at the Chief Adviser's office.
In recent weeks, the U.S. Embassy in Dhaka has actively engaged with Bangladesh’s interim government. On August 14, LaFave met with Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain, and on August 18, she participated in a "Meet and Greet" event with Chief Adviser Yunus.
Additionally, on August 25, LaFave discussed U.S. investment opportunities in sectors such as agriculture, energy, technology, and climate with Finance Adviser Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed.
During the latest meeting, LaFave extended her condolences to those affected by the recent devastating floods in Bangladesh.
