"We communicate often with both the Myanmar Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Myanmar Embassy in Dhaka. The regaining of its army and BGP members has already been announced as a goal of the Myanmar government. As quickly as possible, talks are being held to ensure their safe return."
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs declared on Thursday that while ensuring the border guards of Myanmar return safely and quickly is now the priority, it does not matter if they are transported back by air or water.
Bangladesh presented this idea with the understanding that air repatriation could be completed swiftly. Recently, India sent troops to Myanmar by airlift. Thus, Bangladesh is the one making this proposition. All of these individuals should return to their own country as soon as feasible, according to Bangladesh. During a weekly briefing, MoFA Spokesperson Seheli Sabrin informed reporters that there was no time to squander.
She stated that it is anticipated they would be returned to Myanmar as soon as possible, whether by air or water, and that they must return safely.
In response to a query, Seheli stated that there is no doubt that Myanmar's BGP members are being protected for political or international purposes.
According to her, several BGP members from Myanmar have also lately fled to India and returned home.
"They have sought temporary refuge in Bangladesh while members of a regular force encounter difficulties, and the Myanmar government has consistently said that it would like to repatriate them to Myanmar. "Notably, upon entering Bangladesh, they turned over their weapons to the BGB," Seheli stated.
"We communicate often with both the Myanmar Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Myanmar Embassy in Dhaka. The regaining of its army and BGP members has already been announced as a goal of the Myanmar government. As quickly as possible, talks are being held to ensure their safe return," she stated.
According to Seheli, Myanmar's continuous war is an internal issue. She did, however, add that Bangladesh is still on guard to make sure that its citizens, assets, or sovereignty are never under danger.
The spokesperson stated that efforts are being made on a bilateral, trilateral, regional, and international level to start the Rohingyas' voluntary and sustainable return at an opportune moment.
She stated that as a neighbor, Bangladesh wishes to see stability, prosperity, and peace in Myanmar.
She continued by saying that any regional or international effort to resolve the Myanmar problem must inevitably include the return of Rohingya.
A journalist was enquiring about the 11,404 Chinese nationals residing in Bangladesh without authorization.
The Spokesperson said that the Ministry of Home Affairs is responsible for identifying foreign nationals who are unlawfully residing in Bangladesh and that the Ministry of Home Affairs can offer particular information in this respect.
Tuesday, the Principal Secretary presided over a meeting at BIDA.
In the meeting, the Foreign Secretary took part as well.
According to the Spokesperson, a decision was made at the meeting to act immediately by Bangladesh's current rules on the expiration of visas for people from other nations in addition to China.
