Oct 09 V7N- Two market monitoring teams from the Ministry of Commerce conducted drives today at Mohammadpur Kitchen Bazar and Fakirapool Kacha Bazar in Dhaka, issuing fines totaling Taka 12,500 for various irregularities.

One team, led by Deputy Secretary Jannatul Ferdous, visited Mohammadpur Kitchen Bazar and fined several traders for not properly displaying price lists and for other irregularities. Another team, headed by Senior Assistant Secretary Amit Deb Nath, carried out inspections at Fakirapool Kacha Bazar, reviewing the buying and selling prices of essential items.

During the drive, the team noted a slight decrease in the prices of eggs and onions and emphasized the importance of traders maintaining updated price lists for key products like chicken, rice, potatoes, onions, and others, to ensure transparency and proper market regulation.
