Dhaka, Oct 06 (V7N) — The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Traffic Department has intensified its efforts to maintain traffic order in the capital. On Saturday, traffic law violators faced a significant crackdown, with a total of 627 cases registered, and fines amounting to 26 lakh 78 thousand Taka issued.

According to Deputy Police Commissioner (DC) Muhammad Talebur Rahman of DMP's Media and Public Relations Department, the operation resulted in 167 vehicles being dumped and 55 vehicles wrecked. This enforcement drive was part of the DMP's ongoing commitment to improving road safety and maintaining order across Dhaka's congested streets.

The DMP traffic department has vowed to continue these operations to curb violations and ensure smoother traffic flow in the metropolitan area.
