Following the discovery of cockroaches in the kitchen, the Department of Food Safety in Bangladesh fined two Cox's Bazar district restaurants Tk 5 lakh.

The operation was conducted at the Sea Princess restaurant and Rupsi Bangla in the Sugandya suburb of Cox's Bazar city on Thursday, March 7, at around 11 a.m.

The Department of Safe Food's executive magistrate, Ginia Jinnat, who oversaw the operation, reported finding outdated food in the refrigerator, cockroaches scurrying about, and dirty kitchens in the two facilities.

They did not follow the guidelines outlined in the Safe Food Act. Both institutions were fined as a consequence, and numerous more will continue to conduct this campaign.
