Dhaka, Sept 04 (V7N): A Dhaka court has instructed the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) to investigate a murder case that implicates 24 individuals, including former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and ex-Minister Obaidul Quader. The case concerns the fatal shooting of Amir Hossain during the student protests in Rampura on July 19.

The case was brought to the court by Amir Hossain's wife, who filed the complaint with Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Afnan Sumi. The court recorded her statement and then ordered the PBI to carry out a detailed investigation.

Among those accused are former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal and Awami League leaders Kamruzzaman Polash and ABM Siddique.

The complaint states that on July 19, Amir Hossain was killed in front of the BTV Bhaban in Rampura as police and others, allegedly following the orders of the accused, opened fire on students and the public.
