Dhaka, Sep 25 (V7N) A total of 92 individuals have been arrested, and 4,096 arms looted from police stations, police lines, outposts, and other locations have been recovered in a nationwide joint forces’ drive as of September 25 (Wednesday), according to a statement from the police headquarters.

The statement, released on Wednesday afternoon, also detailed the recovery of 2,86,082 rounds of ammunition, 22,139 tear gas shells, and 2,116 sound grenades as part of the ongoing operations.

The arms and ammunition were looted from protected areas following attacks on law enforcement officials before and after August 5.

In addition to the police efforts, members of the Bangladesh Army have also been deployed in the recovery operation across the country.
