A clash occurred between the Arakan Solidarity Organization (RSO) and ordinary Rohingyas in the Lambashia Rohingya camp in Ukhiya, Cox's Bazar, resulting in a Bangladeshi youth being shot. Several others were injured. The injured youth was rescued and sent to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital. The injured youth is Nurul Islam (24), son of Syed Nur, a resident of Lambashia village in Rajapalong Union, Ukhiya.

The incident took place on Tuesday (May 21) at around 11 AM in the Lambashia Rohingya camp area in Ukhiya.

Ordinary Rohingyas reported that for the past two days, the Arakan Solidarity Organization (RSO) has been forcing ordinary Rohingya men to go to Myanmar to fight. This led to a clash between the RSO and the ordinary Rohingyas. During the clash, Rohingyas threw stones at police officers, injuring two policemen.

To bring the situation under control, the police fired over fifty rounds. Currently, additional police have been deployed in the Rohingya camp.

Mohammad Iqbal, the commander of the 14th Armed Police Battalion, confirmed the clash between the two groups, stating that a Bangladeshi youth was shot in the leg and is currently receiving treatment at Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital. He added that the situation in the camp is now under control.

The incident occurred due to the RSO pressuring ordinary Rohingyas to join the ongoing war in Myanmar.

Helal Uddin, the member of Ward No. 9 of Rajapalong Union, confirmed the authenticity of the incident, stating that a Bangladeshi youth was injured and is undergoing treatment at Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital.

Ukhiya Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shamim Hossain also confirmed that a Bangladeshi was shot inside the Rohingya camp and promised to provide detailed information after further investigation.

Ukhiya Upazila Executive Officer Tanvir Hossain stated that a Bangladeshi was shot inside the Rohingya camp and that local law enforcement agencies have been instructed to investigate the matter.
