The defendants in the case include Jasim Mia, Shaheen Ahmed, Noor Mohammad, Babu Rishi Biswas, Harunur Rashid Roni, Tarek Haider, Sohail, and General Secretary of the Metropolitan Hawkers Association Masum. Additionally, 1,200 hundred unnamed individuals have been charged. They are the subject of a lawsuit brought under the Speedy Trial Act.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kotwali Police Station, SM Obaidul Haque, verified the information and stated that the culprit is being sought out for arrest.

It should be mentioned that on Monday at approximately 3 p.m., the municipal corporation and the police began an operation to remove street vendors from the New Market area.
The eviction was stopped by the peddlers.

They once tossed brick fragments at the cops. Four City Corporation cars were damaged at this time by the peddlers. In this event, at least fifteen individuals were hurt, including police officers.
