Jhalokathi, July 24 (V7N) – A special prayer and condolence meeting was held in Rajapur to mourn the tragic plane crash that occurred at Milestone School and College in Uttara, Dhaka. The event, organized by Habibur Rahman Selim Reza, the President of New York South Metropolitan BNP and a candidate for the Jhalokathi-1 (Rajapur-Kathalia) constituency, aimed to pray for the souls of the deceased and the swift recovery of the injured.
 
The event took place on Wednesday, July 23, at 7:00 PM at Selim Reza's office in the Naikathi area of Rajapur. The gathering included a discussion session followed by a special prayer (Dua) ceremony.
 
Habibur Rahman Selim Reza, who is also a BNP nominee hopeful for the Jhalokathi-1 seat, along with other leaders including Advocate Nur Hossain, Organizing Secretary of Rajapur BNP, Youth League leader Haider Shikdar, and BNP leader Apu Khan, addressed the gathering.
 
The Dua ceremony focused on praying for the peace of the departed souls and the speedy recovery of the injured. A special prayer (Monajat) was offered, wishing for the tranquility of the victims' souls and the quick healing of those hurt in the accident.
 
Participants expressed deep grief and extended condolences to the families of the victims. They called for greater measures to prevent such tragic incidents in the future, asking Allah to keep everyone under His protection.
 
Attendees were visibly emotional, with many BNP workers unable to hold back their tears. They expressed sympathy for the families of the deceased and demanded government support for the victims' families.
 
Speakers mentioned that on behalf of Tarique Rahman, the BNP leadership, particularly the leaders and workers from the student and youth wings, had already pledged to extend all possible assistance to the injured for their medical treatment.
 
The prayer meeting was attended by numerous leaders from various unions and wards in Rajapur and Kathalia.
