Pabna, Jan 05 (V7N) — Chatmohar Press Club in Pabna observed its 36th founding anniversary on Saturday evening, celebrating more than three decades of commitment to unity, integrity, and excellence in local journalism.
The occasion was marked with a cake-cutting ceremony and an exchange of greetings at the press club office in the New Bazar Kheyaghat area of Chatmohar at around 8:00pm. Senior journalists, current and former office-bearers, and general members of the press club were present at the event.
Among those in attendance were Press Club President Helalu Rahman Jewel, Vice-President Sanjit Saha Kingshuk, General Secretary Masud Rana, Joint General Secretary Md Nurul Islam, former President Rakibur Rahman Tukun, along with Shamim Hasan Milon, Biplab Acharya, Shaheen Rahman, Iqbal Kabir Ranju, Abdul Latif Ranju, Bakul Rahman, Tushar Bhattacharya, Iftekhar Tutul, M A Jinnah, Jahangir Alam Apple, Zakir Selim, Jahangir Alam Madhu, Shimul Biswas, Saiful Islam, Sohel Khan, Sudipto Karmakar, and other members.
Speakers at the programme said that for the past 36 years, Chatmohar Press Club has played a vital role in upholding professional standards of journalism, promoting objective reporting, and safeguarding public interest at the local level. They expressed optimism that the press club would continue to work collectively in the future to strengthen responsible and ethical journalism for the greater welfare of society.
