Kolapara, June 25 (V7N)- A Russell's viper, about 5 feet in length, was caught in a net at the house of Malaysian expatriate Md. Abdul Barek in Nalapara village of Dhulasar Union in Kolapara, Patuakhali. On Tuesday morning, housewife Rubina Begum saw the snake entangled in a net on the path leading to the house. She informed the local people, but the snake was not harmed and is still alive.
 
Curious locals gathered to catch a glimpse of the snake. Members of the Animal Lovers of Patuakhali's Kolapara team are attempting to rescue the snake.
 
Baizid Munshi, a member of the Animal Lovers of Patuakhali's Kolapara team, said that a team has been sent to the scene. The snake will be rescued, given initial treatment, and then handed over to the Forest Department.
