St. Martin, July 5 (V7N)- A boat carrying two Myanmar BGPs and 31 Rohingyas entered St. Martin. Basically, they have entered beyond the Arakan Army and the armed forces in Myanmar's Rakhine State. Meanwhile, mortar shells and heavy shelling were heard on Teknaf border area region. 
 
A trawler carrying 33 passengers ran aground on the island of St. Martin early Friday morning. It includes two armed members of Myanmar's Border Guard Police (BGP) and 31 Rohingya. Among them 10 women, 10 men, 11 children and 2 officials of Myanmar BGP.
 
Teknaf Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Adnan Chowdhury said that a Myanmar passenger boat entered the island. He said, BGP personnel of Myanmar along with Rohingyas have taken shelter in Saint Martin. I heard that they entered here after the engine of the boat broke down due to heavy rain. Our BGB and Coast Guard are working on the matter.
 
Teknaf-2 BGB Battalion Commander Lieutenant Colonel Mohiuddin Ahmed said Besides preventing border infiltration, BGB members are ready to deal with any situation.
