Tangail, July 14 (V7N)- To prevent the outbreak of dengue, chikungunya, malaria, and other mosquito-borne diseases, Tangail district police have observed a "Cleaning Saturday". On Saturday, July 13, under the direction of newly appointed Tangail Police Superintendent, Mr. Golam Sabur (P.P.M. Service), all police stations and units of Tangail district police participated together. In the current monsoon season, a cleanliness and sanitation program titled "Cleaning Saturday" was conducted at the police lines and headquarters campus of Tangail district police to prevent the spread of dengue, chikungunya, malaria, and other mosquito-borne diseases.

Various teams were formed under the coordination of different ranks of police personnel from Tangail district police to clean and sanitize areas such as police lines barracks, pond areas, quarters, reserve office, vehicle branch, ration store, and various other locations. Additionally, under the leadership of Officer-in-Charge (O.C.) of all police stations and Unit In-Charges of each unit, police personnel of different ranks from Tangail district police were coordinated to clean and sanitize police stations, investigation centers, checkpoints, and all unit campuses and barracks.

Mr. Golam Sabur, the newly appointed Tangail Police Superintendent, said that due to the current spread of dengue, all units of Tangail district police are actively involved in cleaning and sanitation of their workplaces. There is no alternative to cleanliness and sanitation to prevent the outbreak of dengue, chikungunya, malaria, and other mosquito-borne diseases during the monsoon season. Tangail district police will continue this initiative without interruption and urge everyone to keep their residential areas clean and sanitized.

Mr. Abdullah Al Mamun, and other senior officers and police personnel from various units of Tangail district police.
