Barisal, July 27 – The 'MV Adventure-9' launch departed Barisal river port for Dhaka on Friday night at 8:45 PM, marking the resumption of passenger services after a six-day suspension. The stoppage was due to a lack of passengers caused by a curfew starting on July 20.

With the curfew relaxed, the Barisal-Dhaka route launch service has recommenced. The 'MV Adventure-9' is the first to leave, followed by another launch, 'MV Sundarban-12,' which departed from Jhalkathi for Dhaka via Chandpur.

BIWTA Naval Safety and Traffic Management Assistant Director Riad Hossain confirmed the resumption of services. MV Adventure-9 launch supervisor Masud noted that while passenger pressure is high due to limited services, he is confident the launch will reach Dhaka safely and on time.
