Narsingdi, Sep 01 (V7N) - Narsingdi Correspondent Tarek Pathan: A leader of the Matsyajibi League was brutally hacked to death by unknown assailants in Narsingdi. The incident took place around midnight on Saturday (August 31) at the Bashail Shahi Eidgah field in Narsingdi municipal area. The victim, identified as Lijan Molla (30), was the son of Almgir Molla from Bashail and an active member of the district Matsyajibi League.
 
Local reports indicate that Lijan Molla worked at a local trauma center. On Saturday night, after finishing his shift, he was returning home. When he reached the Eidgah field, the assailants, who had been waiting for him, stopped him and attacked him with machetes. They also set his motorcycle on fire.
 
Dr. Mahmudul Kabir Arif from the emergency department of the district hospital confirmed to Voice7 News that Lijan Molla was brought to the hospital already deceased, with evident injuries on his body.
 
Officer-in-Charge (OC) Tanvir Ahmed of Narsingdi Sadar Model Police Station confirmed the incident to Voice7 News, stating that no complaint has yet been filed by the family. The case is under investigation, and the process of filing charges is underway.
