During Holy Ramzan: School student attendance has decreased in Khulna

Teachers and parents claim that the confusion caused by the High Court's decision to close schools and its subsequent suspension is the reason why pupils are not attending classes. Additionally, those who are fasting due to the impending heat are becoming distracted.

Regarding the opening and shutting of schools during Ramadan, parents, however, had two different opinions. Parents claim that their children are struggling at home to comprehend the new curriculum. A month-long closure of the school would negatively impact students' educational experiences. It is often said that attending courses during a fast is challenging.

To address pupils' learning deficiency, government primary schools, and normal teaching programs will remain open during the first ten days of the fast, according to a news statement issued by the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education on February 8. Additionally, the Ministry of Education said that classes will resume through March 25 in both public and private intermediate and secondary institutions

Attorney Mahmuda Khanam appealed the High Court's ruling with a writ petition. Following the preliminary hearing on Sunday, the decision to keep the school open was stayed by a split bench of the High Court. The state filed an appeal with the Appellate Division on Monday, requesting a stay of the High Court's ruling, which was scheduled for a chamber court hearing. The Appellate Division's entire bench was instructed by the chamber court to hear the state's plea at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday. On Tuesday, the Appellate Division halted the order.

On Wednesday, three students from class 10 and seven students from class 9 visited the city's National High School. There is essentially no attendance in classes six, seven, and eight.
It was discovered that just 7 of the 21 Class VIII pupils of National Girls School attended the institution.
