Recently, the government mandated that all elementary and secondary schools in districts with maximum winter temperatures below 10 degrees Celsius cancel lessons.
Authorities in Khulna division's five districts canceled all elementary and secondary schools as of today because to low temperatures of less than 10 degrees Celsius.
The division's Department of Primary and Secondary Education states that the order will be in effect until further notice.
Khulna, Jashore, Meherpur, Chuadanga, and Kushtia are the five districts.
Amirul Azad, a representative of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department's Khulna office, reported that the temperature in Khulna was 9.5 degrees Celsius on 23 January morning.
The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education in each of the five districts declared a class suspension in response to the government's decision.
Deputy Director of Primary Education in Khulna Division Dr. Moslem Uddin told, "As per the government's direction, we asked the education officers to suspend all classes of Primary and Secondary-level schools under the five districts due to the cold wave."
In a notification, Farhana Naz, the district education officer for Khulna, stated that due to a temperature drop below 10 degrees Celsius, all educational institutions throughout the five districts that make up Khulna Division had been instructed to close.
The letter further stated that schools will stay closed until the outside temperature reaches 10 degrees Celsius or higher.
The government has enforced notification, and all heads of related institutions are asked to comply.
