Sugandha Beach of Cox's Bazar has been renamed Bangabandhu Beach. At the same time, the space between Sugandha Beach and Kalatali Beach has been named as 'Bir Muktijoddha Beach'.

This information was informed in a notification from the Ministry of Liberation War on Monday (February 19).  

According to the notification, instructions have been given to name the Sugandha Beach of Cox's Bazar beach 'Bangabandhu Beach' after the great architect and father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the space between Sugandha Beach and Kalatali Beach after the brave freedom fighters.

In this regard, according to the decision of the 13th meeting of the Standing Committee of the Ministry of Liberation War of the 11th National Parliament, instructions were given to the relevant officials including the Deputy Commissioner to take the necessary measures.
