Dhaka, Apr 12 (V7N) — The declaration of the ‘March for Gaza’ — a massive solidarity event held at Suhrawardy Udyan — has called for the cancellation of all agreements and severance of all diplomatic and economic ties with Israel, in protest against its ongoing aggression in Gaza.

The declaration was read by Mahmudur Rahman, editor of the Daily Amar Desh, from the main stage of the historic program on Saturday afternoon (April 12). The announcement demanded immediate global action to halt Israeli military operations, which have resulted in widespread destruction and civilian deaths in the besieged territory.

Speakers from various political, religious, and social platforms emphasized that now is the time for the Muslim world to unite and stand firmly against Israel’s brutality. They called upon the governments of Muslim-majority countries to break all political, military, and trade agreements with the occupying regime.

From early morning, people of all ages, professions, and political affiliations poured into Suhrawardy Udyan in small and large processions — many holding Palestinian flags, banners, and placards with strong slogans such as “Stop Genocide in Gaza”, “Boycott Israel”, and “Unite for Palestine”.

The program notably brought together a broad coalition — from BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami, National Citizens Party (NCP) to Islamic scholars, cultural figures, social media influencers, artists, and poets. Setting aside political divisions, all stood united on one stage with a singular voice against Israeli oppression, demanding an end to the mass killings and occupation.

The ‘March for Gaza’ has emerged as a powerful symbol of national unity and moral courage, calling for justice for Palestine and urging the world community to no longer remain silent.
