The upazila elections will be held gradually, if not simultaneously, according to EC Rasheda Sultana, who also stated that this is an extremely crucial responsibility. Elections have a significant impact on the development of the nation. The commission is trying to make the election fun, fair, and free of interference.

In the approaching sixth upazila parishad election, the election commissioner said that various rules and regulations had changed from the previous year's election. Notably, candidates must now submit their nomination papers online. The nomination form can only be submitted online. No other method is accepted.

There will be 24 upazilas in the first phase, 19 upazilas in the second phase, 14 upazilas in the third phase, and 9 upazilas in the fourth phase in each of the eight districts of the Rajshahi division. Godagari and Tanor, two upazilas in the Rajshahi district, will host the first phase on May 8. The district's Bagmara, Durgapur, and Puthia upazilas will host the second phase on May 21.
