A mine explosion at the Bangladesh-Myanmar border has reportedly left two Bangladeshis seriously injured. Local sources have also informed that three others are missing. Among the injured, one individual has lost a leg. The two injured are currently receiving treatment at Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital.
 
The severely injured are Nabi Hossain, son of Habibur Rahman, and Abu Taher, son of Abul Hossain, both from Tumbru village in Ghumdhum Union, Naikhongchhari Upazila. Nabi Hossain has lost one of his legs. The mine explosion occurred on Friday (May 24) around 8:30 PM in the Tumbru West area of the Bangladesh-Myanmar border.
 
Upon receiving the news, locals rescued the injured and brought them to the Kutupalong MSF Hospital in Ukhia. As their conditions were critical, they were later transferred to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital.
 
Additionally, it has been reported that three more individuals are missing, although their identities are not yet known.
 
Regarding the incident, AKM Jahangir Aziz, the UP Chairman of Ghumdhum Union, confirmed the injuries and mentioned that efforts are underway to locate the missing individuals. Further details will be provided later.
