Dhaka, Oct 20 (V7N)- Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Senior Joint Secretary General of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), has called on the government to take proactive measures to maintain the supply of essential food products and stabilize fuel prices in the market. Speaking at a press conference held at the BNP's central office in Nayapaltan on Sunday morning, Rizvi urged authorities to ensure that diesel and petrol prices do not rise.

During his address, Rizvi expressed concern over groups attempting to create disorder in various sectors of the country. He emphasized that the government must remain vigilant to prevent disruptions and maintain stability.

In addition, Rizvi highlighted the need for greater initiatives to improve essential services, including housing reconstruction, sewage management, electricity, and nutrition. He also addressed the recent flood situation, stressing the importance of rehabilitating farmers who have been severely affected by the disaster.

The BNP leader urged the government to act swiftly to support those impacted and ensure that the nation’s agricultural sector recovers from the flood's devastation.
