Jhalokathi, Feb 12, (V7N) – BNP officials held roadside meetings, public outreach events, and leaflet distributions in many unions of Kathalia upazila in Jhalokathi to promote the execution of the 31-point state reform and repair plan. Mohammad Habibur Rahman Selim Reza, the president of the New York South BNP, spearheaded the outreach.
Roadside meetings, leaflet distribution, and public interaction were held throughout six unions in Kathalia beginning in the morning on Tuesday, February 11. According to BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, the purpose of these gatherings was to increase public knowledge of the 31-point state reform and repair plan. The public was given the pamphlets, which demanded that the 31-point demand be fulfilled.
Roadside meetings were held in 20 different locations, including Patikhali Ghata, Banai, Morichbunia, Amuya, Talatala, Kathalia Sadar, Kochua Bazar, Center's Hat, Shouljalia, Munshirabad, Akner Hat, Satani Bazar, and Union 1's Kaikhali Bazar. Hundreds of activists and leaders took part in the public event.
BNP leader Dr. Zakariya Lincoln, retired Colonel Mostafizur Rahman, former Central Chhatra Dal Joint Secretary Golam Azam Soikat, and New York South BNP President Mohammad Habibur Rahman Selim Reza were among those who spoke at the occasion.
