Dhaka, Feb 14 (V7N)BNP Standing Committee Member Mirza Abbas has accused certain government figures of deliberately exposing the market syndicate to embarrass the interim government.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the Dhaka Metropolitan South BNP membership renewal program in Nayapaltan on Friday morning, Abbas claimed that while the government has changed, the market syndicate remains intact, leading to rising commodity prices ahead of Ramadan.

Questioning Inaction Against 'Devil' Traders

Mirza Abbas criticized the authorities for failing to take action against traders manipulating prices. He questioned, "Why are the 'devil' traders not being arrested?"

Election Disruptions a Threat to Sovereignty

He further warned that those attempting to disrupt the elections are not only undermining democracy but also trying to jeopardize the country’s independence, sovereignty, and voting rights.

The BNP leader reiterated the party’s stance on ensuring free and fair elections and urged authorities to take immediate action against market manipulators.
