Chattogram, Apr 1 (V7N) – BNP Standing Committee Member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury has stated that the party’s leaders and activists are eagerly waiting to vote and elect their representatives. He described the anticipation for election day as a long-awaited moment for democracy.

He made these remarks while attending an Eid reunion at his residence in Mehedibagh, Chattogram, on Tuesday (April 1) morning. The event saw thousands of party leaders and activists gathering to exchange greetings and celebrate Eid.

Speaking to reporters, Amir Khasru said that after a long period, BNP leaders and activists are finally able to experience the joy of Eid in a free and independent environment.

Emphasizing the importance of restoring people's ownership of the country, he remarked:

"A festive atmosphere has been created, something Bangladesh has not witnessed in a long time. I have fought for this Bangladesh for 16 years and even endured prison for this cause."

The gathering highlighted BNP's ongoing commitment to political participation, as the party eyes the upcoming elections amid discussions on electoral reforms and governance.
