Sajeeb Wazed Joy, son of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, has called on the people of Bangladesh to peacefully pay tribute to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family members on August 15 at Dhanmondi 32.

In a Facebook post, Joy expressed concerns over a conspiracy to erase Bangabandhu's memory from Bangladesh. He described the recent burning of Bangabandhu's historical house at Dhanmondi 32 as the work of a mob, condemning the act as an attempt to destroy a significant part of the nation's history.

Joy, who resides in Washington, emphasized that Bangabandhu is not just a partisan figure but the Father of the Nation, without whom Bangladesh would not exist. He urged all citizens to honor Bangabandhu's legacy by peacefully laying flowers at Dhanmondi 32 and praying for him and his family.
