Narsingdi, Feb 22 (V7N) – A three-way collision between a bus, truck, and private car in Basail, Sadar Upazila, left at least 63 people injured, with two in critical condition sent to Dhaka for advanced treatment.
The accident occurred Saturday morning in front of the Roads and Highways Department office.
Eyewitness Account
According to witnesses, a Sylhet-bound goods truck collided head-on with a Dhaka-bound passenger bus of Pran RFL Company. A private car traveling nearby was also caught in the crash, leading to a large number of injuries.
Rescue teams and locals quickly responded, taking all injured passengers to the Narsingdi District Hospital. Among them, a bus passenger and the truck driver were transferred to Dhaka due to the severity of their injuries. The rest were released after receiving primary medical treatment.
Police Action
Monir Hossain, Officer-in-Charge of Itakhola Police Station, confirmed that the three vehicles have been taken into police custody. Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.
