Rupganj, Mar 06 (V7N) – A devastating fire broke out at the Tinshed Furniture Market in Bhulta, Rupganj, Narayanganj, gutting 15 shops and two residential buildings.

The fire erupted at around 3:15 AM on Wednesday (March 6), originating from Bachchu Mia's scrap shop, located near the Tinshed Furniture Market behind Nurmanson Market. The flames spread rapidly, engulfing the market area.

Upon receiving the report, four fire service units from Araihazar and Kanchan Fire Stations rushed to the scene and fought the blaze for about 90 minutes before bringing it under control.

Araihazar Fire Service Station Officer Rabiul Alam stated that the fire is suspected to have been caused by an electrical short circuit, though a detailed investigation is still pending.

Fortunately, no casualties have been reported. However, the exact extent of financial losses remains uncertain.
