JHALOKATHI, Aug 21 (V7N) — The body of a 22-year-old man who went missing after falling from a bridge into the Beduria River in Rajapur, Jhalokathi, was recovered on Thursday, a day after the incident.
The deceased, Nur Hossain, son of Hanif Aker, was a resident of Ward 5 of Galua Union. Local residents said he had epilepsy.
Nur fell into the river from the Beduria Bridge near Putiyakhali Bazar on Wednesday evening. Local residents and Fire Service personnel launched a search immediately, but could not locate him before nightfall.
Fire Service Station Officer Abul Kalam Azad said rescuers recovered Nur’s body from beneath the bridge at around 10am on Thursday.
The body was later handed over to his family, he said.
