Dhaka, Oct 31 (V7N)— The Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs has appointed 752 lawyers as government law officers in courts across 11 districts. The newly appointed officers will serve as Public Prosecutors (GP), Additional Public Prosecutors, Assistant Public Prosecutors, and in other legal capacities.

According to an official statement issued on Thursday, the appointments are spread across various districts: Kishoreganj with 83 appointees, Cox's Bazar 63, Rajbari 25, Kushtia 128, Satkhira 34, Narayanganj 91, Barisal 145, Sunamganj 63, Netrakona 44, and Natore with 76 officers across two appointment groups. These appointments cover roles in District and Sessions Courts, Tribunals, and Special Judge Courts within these districts.

The Ministry’s Solicitor Wing issued three separate orders for these appointments on October 24, 29, and 30, signed by Deputy Solicitor Sana Md. Mahruf Hossain. These orders supersede all previous appointments, cancelling the positions of former law officers and relieving them of their duties to make way for the new appointees.

This significant reshuffle is aimed at reinforcing the legal infrastructure across the designated districts, ensuring effective representation and legal proceedings within the courts.
