Beirut, Nov 03 (V7N) — A Bangladeshi national, Mohammad Nizam (32), lost his life in an Israeli airstrike in the Hazmiyeh area of Beirut, Lebanon, on Saturday afternoon local time. The Bangladesh Embassy in Beirut confirmed the tragic incident, stating that Nizam was struck while stopping at a coffee shop on his way to work. He died at the scene, and his body has been moved to the cold storage at Mount Lebanon Hospital.

Nizam, originally from the Kharera area of Kasba upazila in Brahmanbaria district, had been working in Lebanon for the past 12 years to support his family. He was the son of Mohammad Abdul Quddus and Anwara Begum.

In a statement, the Bangladesh Embassy expressed condolences over Nizam's passing. Bangladesh Ambassador to Lebanon, Air Vice Marshal Javed Tanvir Khan, also conveyed his profound grief over the loss, offering sympathies to Nizam's family and praying for the departed soul’s peace.
