Dhaka, Dec 03 (V7N) – Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus to hold a series of meetings with leaders from different communities – students, political parties and religious groups – to strengthen national unity amid the ongoing misinformation against Bangladesh in Indian media.
Md Shafiqul Alam, chief adviser’s press secretary, said this at a press briefing at the Foreign Service Academy on Tuesday afternoon.
He said the chief adviser will sit with the student leaders on Tuesday evening at State Guest House Jamuna.
Dr Yunus will meet political party leaders on Wednesday and sit with the religious leaders on Thursday, Shafiqul said.
He said that misinformation campaigns targeting Bangladesh are being actively propagated by Indian media, which he accused of inciting violence through their reporting.
"We are inviting global media, including outlets from India, to visit Bangladesh and witness the situation firsthand," he added.
