Dhaka, Dec 26 (V7N)— The government of Bangladesh has issued a stern warning to foreign nationals residing and working in the country illegally, setting a deadline for legalization by January 31, 2025.

In a notice issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on Thursday, authorities called on all illegal foreign nationals to secure the necessary documentation to legalize their stay and work status. The notice also urged relevant departments and institutions to assist in this process.

The government emphasized that foreign nationals who fail to comply with this directive within the given timeframe will face legal action. Additionally, action will also be taken against the institutions associated with these illegal workers.

The Ministry assured that full cooperation will be extended to relevant departments and institutions to facilitate the legalization process.

This move reflects the government's commitment to regulating the employment of foreign nationals and ensuring compliance with immigration laws.
