Dhaka, Jan 25 (V7N) — Principal Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus returned to Bangladesh on Saturday after a four-day visit to Davos, Switzerland, where he attended the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF).

Deputy Press Secretary to the Chief Advisor, Abul Kalam Azad Majumder, confirmed that Dr. Yunus departed from Zurich International Airport at 9:50 pm local time on Friday aboard an Emirates Airlines flight. The flight is scheduled to land at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 5 pm.

During the WEF conference, Dr. Yunus engaged in an intensive schedule, participating in a total of 47 events. His engagements included meetings with four heads of state or government, four ministerial-level representatives, and top executives from 10 United Nations agencies. Additionally, he met with CEOs of 10 leading global corporations, attended nine programs hosted by the World Economic Forum, gave eight media interviews, and participated in two other events.

Dr. Yunus arrived in Davos on January 21 and spent his time actively collaborating with world leaders and global business executives to discuss pressing international issues. His visit underscores Bangladesh's growing presence on the global stage and highlights his role in fostering international dialogue.
