Eight units and four members of Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defense worked to extinguish the fire, said Anwarul Islam, warehouse inspector of the Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters (media cell).

Unidentified arsonists torched a bus of Rajanigandha Paribahan at 9:15 pm on Saturday at Dhaka's Gulistan area.

Around 10:30 pm on Saturday, arsonists set fire to a bus of Trust Paribahan near Bangladesh Krishi Bank at section 13 of Mirpur in capital.

In another incident, miscreants set fire to a bus of Mirpur Metro Service of Kalabagan bus stand area around 10:52pm on Saturday in the capital.

Miscreants set another bus named 'Tisha Paribahan' on fire at Debidwar Bagur bus stand in Cumilla district on Sunday around 3.10 am. 

The fire service has reported a total of 289 arsons on some establishments and vehicles from October 28 to 6 am on December 24. It damaged 285 vehicles and 15 establishments.

Among the vehicles, 180 were buses, 45 trucks, 23 covered vans, eight motorcycles and 29 other vehicles.
