Mohammed Shahabuddin, the president of Bangladesh exhibited extreme shock and sadness on Friday at the deaths and destruction of property caused by a horrific fire at a building on the capital's Bailey Road.

The Head of State sent a condolence message to the bereaved family members, wishing the victims' departed souls eternal peace and expressing his deepest sympathies.

He also hoped for the quick recovery of the fire victims.
