Dhaka, Feb 11 (V7N) –The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) has conducted a special awareness session for its air traffic controllers following several recent aviation and helicopter crashes worldwide.
Acting on the directives of CAAB Chairman Air Vice-Marshal Md Monjur Kabir Bhuiyan, CAAB Member (ATM) Air Commodore AKM Ziaul Haque organized the discussion to highlight the importance of accident prevention, according to a press release.
During the session, he urged all controllers to remain vigilant and perform their duties with the highest level of caution to ensure aviation safety.
Assistant Director of the Air Traffic Management (ATM) Department, Md Sultanul Arefin, presented a detailed analysis of the recent accidents and outlined the responsibilities of air traffic controllers in preventing such incidents.
The session also included discussions on current and upcoming improvements in Bangladesh’s air traffic management services, reinforcing CAAB’s commitment to enhancing aviation safety.
