Dubai, Feb 13 (V7N) – Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, Chief Advisor to the interim government of Bangladesh, has arrived in Dubai to attend the World Government Summit 2025.
According to Shafiqul Alam, the Chief Advisor's Press Secretary, Dr. Yunus landed in Dubai at 11:15 PM local time on Wednesday (February 13).
Upon arrival, Dr. Yunus was received by Ahmed Belhoul Al Falasi, UAE Minister of Sports. The two leaders held discussions on mutual interests, including potential cooperation in sports and cultural sectors between Bangladesh and the UAE.
Minister Al Falasi also thanked Dr. Yunus for his participation in the summit and provided an overview of the prestigious international conference, which has been held in Dubai for over a decade.
The Chief Advisor and his entourage departed from Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on an Emirates Airlines commercial flight at 7:45 PM Bangladesh time on Wednesday.
The World Government Summit 2025 brings together global leaders, policymakers, and experts to discuss governance, innovation, and economic development. Dr. Yunus is expected to address key sessions and engage in high-level meetings during his visit.
