Dhaka, Mar 19 (V7N) – Qatar has extended its full support to the reform program undertaken by the interim government of Bangladesh. Qatari Ambassador Seraya Ali Al-Qahtani conveyed this message during a meeting with Principal Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus at the State Guest House Jamuna in Dhaka on Tuesday (March 18).
During the meeting, Ambassador Al-Qahtani reaffirmed Qatar’s commitment to assisting Bangladesh in various sectors, highlighting the strong bilateral relations between the two nations.
Welcoming Qatar’s support, Professor Yunus described it as an excellent gesture and expressed his gratitude to the Emir of Qatar and its government for their unwavering friendship.
The Principal Advisor emphasized the need to further strengthen trade and investment relations, urging Qatari businesses to invest in Bangladesh’s economic zones and explore relocation opportunities.
“Bangladesh is now ready for business. We want Qatari businessmen to explore the potential here,” said Professor Yunus.
In an effort to attract more foreign investment, Bangladesh will organize an investment conference in early April. The event is expected to showcase new business opportunities and strategic partnerships in various sectors.
This growing cooperation between Bangladesh and Qatar signals a stronger economic partnership, paving the way for enhanced trade, investment, and development initiatives.
