Dhaka, July 19, (V7N) – Home Affairs Advisor Jahangir Alam Chowdhury stated that autopsies were not conducted on the bodies taken by relatives in connection with the Gopalganj incident. However, if necessary, the bodies will be exhumed and autopsies performed.
Speaking to reporters after visiting the third terminal of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Saturday afternoon, Chowdhury said the autopsy is currently underway for the individual who died while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College related to the incident.
He added that the investigation committee will determine whether any administrative lapses contributed to the Gopalganj incident.
Regarding the new terminal, Chowdhury mentioned he has inquired about manpower requirements for immigration at the third terminal but did not have any information about its official opening.
