Dhaka, July 30 (V7N) – Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has said there is no security threat centering August 5 and that all necessary preparations have been completed to ensure public safety.

Speaking to reporters at the Secretariat on Wednesday, the advisor reassured the public, stating, “There is no reason for concern. The security arrangements are in place and well-coordinated.”

Addressing questions about recent law enforcement activity, he clarified that the current operation is limited to Dhaka and is being conducted by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). “These operations are not nationwide,” he added. “Such drives are launched at different times based on operational needs and specific circumstances.”

The advisor’s statement comes amid ongoing efforts by security agencies to maintain law and order in the capital and prevent any potential unrest.
