Natore, Aug 03 (V7N) – Brigadier General (Retd.) M Sakhawat Hossain, Advisor to the Ministry of Labor and Employment and Shipping, stated that all systems in Bangladesh have collapsed and cannot be repaired within a year. He made these remarks as the chief guest at a check handover ceremony organized by the Sramik Kalyan Foundation at the Deputy Commissioner’s (DC) conference room in Natore on Sunday morning.

In his address, Sakhawat Hossain warned labor leaders that sectors such as the police and administration are already in a state of disarray. “If workers create unrest in this fragile situation, the consequences will be even more serious,” he cautioned.

Highlighting the country's economic challenges, he noted that Bangladesh is currently reliant only on the garment and manpower export sectors. He stressed the importance of developing new export-oriented industries, citing shipbuilding as a promising area where the government is actively working to promote growth.

The program was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Asma Shaheen, and attended by Superintendent of Police Mohammad Amjad Hossain, Civil Surgeon Dr. Md. Muktadir Arefin, Additional Deputy Commissioner Abul Hayat, and leaders of various labor organizations.
