Dhaka, Aug 05 (V7N) – Chief Advisor to the Interim Government, Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, will deliver a special address to the nation on the occasion of July Uprising Day. The address will be broadcast live at 8:20 PM on Bangladesh Television (BTV), as confirmed by the Chief Advisor’s press wing.

Earlier in the day, at 5:00 PM, Dr. Yunus is scheduled to read the historic July Declaration at the South Plaza of the National Parliament, in the presence of:

  • Leaders and representatives of all major political parties,

  • Families of the martyrs and injured participants of the July Movement.

Day-Long Cultural Observance

To commemorate the first anniversary of the July Uprising, a day-long cultural program has been organized on Manik Mia Avenue. The program includes:

  • Musical performances by various artist groups from 11:00 AM,

  • The official reading of the declaration at 5:00 PM,

  • A drone show at 7:30 PM,

  • And a live band performance at 8:00 PM.

Traffic in and around the National Parliament and Manik Mia Avenue is restricted due to the large public turnout expected for the celebration.

The events aim to honor the sacrifices made during the July 2024 uprising and to reaffirm the nation's commitment to democracy and unity.
