Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) is gearing up for Eid-ul-Fitr by adding 550 buses to its service fleet. These buses, operating in Dhaka, will facilitate passenger transportation from the capital to various destinations across the country during the Eid rush.

The decision was finalized during a discussion meeting held at the BRTC office in Motijheel on Monday morning. Md Tajul Islam, the chairman of the organization, announced that out of the total fleet of 600 buses in Dhaka, 550 buses will be exclusively allocated for Eid service, while the remaining 50 buses will continue serving within the city. Additionally, long-distance buses will maintain regular operations to accommodate the increased demand during the extended Eid holiday period.

Md Tajul Islam also highlighted the organization's efforts to minimize reliance on leased vehicles, with only 34 buses currently under lease. He provided insights into previous years' operational statistics, indicating a consistent commitment to providing reliable transportation services during the festive seasons.
