Dhaka, Aug 30 (V7N) – A meeting between political parties and Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus to discuss the current political situation and upcoming elections will begin tomorrow, Sunday, August 31. BNP, Jamaat, and NCP have confirmed their participation.

The announcement was made by Chief Advisor’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam at a press briefing on Saturday in front of the Chief Advisor’s residence. He emphasized that the 13th National Parliament election will be held by February 15, and no force or conspiracy can prevent it.

Alam said that an emergency meeting was held with the Chief Advisor, including some advisors, the National Security Advisor, senior police officials, and other officials, to review the current situation.

Regarding the recent attack on People's Rights Council President Nurul Haque Nur, Alam termed it “despicable” and announced that a judicial inquiry led by a High Court judge will be conducted to investigate the incident.

The Press Secretary added that the Chief Advisor personally spoke with Nur’s family and assured them of the best possible medical treatment.
