Dhaka, Aug 31 (V7N) – Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus will hold separate meetings with BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami, and NCP to discuss the upcoming 13th National Parliament Election and the current political situation.

Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam confirmed the development at a press briefing outside the Chief Advisor’s Jamuna residence on Saturday.

According to the revised schedule, the meeting with BNP will begin at 7:30 pm instead of 3 pm, following a request from the party due to its founding anniversary program in the afternoon. BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed said the party had sought the adjustment to avoid a clash with their pre-scheduled event.

The Chief Advisor will meet Jamaat-e-Islami at 4:30 pm, while discussions with NCP are scheduled for 6:30 pm. All meetings will take place separately at the Chief Advisor’s official residence.

The discussions come at a time when the country’s political atmosphere has intensified over disagreements regarding the implementation of the July Charter. Meanwhile, the Election Commission (EC) has announced its roadmap, stating that the next national election will be held between December this year and February 2026.
