Dhaka, Sep 18 (V7N) – Home Affairs Advisor Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has expressed confidence that the upcoming Rajshahi University Central Students' Union (RUCSU) and Chittagong University Central Students' Union (CUCSU) elections will be held in a fair and peaceful manner. He also assured that there are no security concerns regarding the polls.

Speaking at a press briefing on Thursday after a meeting at the Secretariat on law and order preparations for the elections, Jahangir Alam said that lessons from the recent JUCSU elections showed that manual vote counting takes significant time. To address this, universities may consider using the OMR system to speed up result counting.

The advisor emphasized that the experiences of DUCSU and JUCSU will guide the upcoming RUCSU and CUCSU polls and contribute valuable lessons for the national elections as well.

At the same briefing, Education Advisor CR Abrar highlighted strong student interest and enthusiasm surrounding the elections, expressing optimism that the contests at Rajshahi and Chittagong universities would be successful.
